Customer Service Representative/Technician

Job Description

Warm, outgoing, detail-oriented person needed to start immediately as a veterinary receptionist in a busy and growing dog and cat veterinary clinic in Park City, UT (in Jeremy Ranch), just 12 minutes from the mouth of the canyon. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, positive, possess excellent customer service skills, have the ability to multitask under pressure, a quick-learner, and an excellent communicator. This position is reception initially however we cross train the right person as a veterinary technician to understand the clinic as a whole. Minimum of four years experience in customer service required and prefer 2 years experience in a veterinary/medical reception setting.
Our clinic has six doctors, seven exam rooms, a dental surgery suite, acupuncture and an underwater treadmill for canine rehabilitation. We will be expanding this Fall to include more rooms! A willingness to take on more responsibilities as we grow and a team-player attitude is a must! We are a paperless clinic, and use Mac computers.

Room for advancement into a lead role or technician role possible. For this reason we are looking for a long term team member that is looking to grow as the clinic continues to grow. Must be available to work a half day Saturdays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities include:

-Attentive and warm customer service in person, over the phone/text, and via email,
-Use of Mac computers,
-Management of busy phone lines,
-Scheduling of appointments and surgeries,
-Learning veterinary diets and educating clients about these
-Checking in/out patients for appointments, surgeries, training, rehab, and acupuncture
-Ensuring that other clinic personnel maintain the flow of daily schedule,
-Keeping detailed notes regarding clients and patients,
-Money handling and invoicing,
-Communicating with other industry professionals,
-Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, particularly in the lobby and in exam rooms,
-Assisting with charts
-Handling and restraining dogs and cats for procedures
-Assisting veterinary technicians with restraining animals,
-Cleaning instruments and surgical equipment, walking hospitalized animals
-Entering charges and helping with charts. Exceptional computer skills are a plus since we are a paperless workplace.

Qualifications and Skills
Require a minimum of four years experience in customer service. Previous experience in a reception setting in a veterinary/medical office is preferred but not required.
